Sacred Rest Retreat

The approaching Sacred Rest Retreat is going to be so special for so many reasons; that is for me personally as I return to my devoted path of teaching and sharing the heart of yoga, as well as a unique opportunity in the world of yoga to explore and experience yoga beyond postures.

If you have ever trained with me in yoga teacher training, or attended my classes as a student over the years at Prana House, or maybe you have known about the practice I teach but haven’t managed to try it for yourself, then I invite you to come along and join in this vibrational experience of Sacred Rest Retreat in the stunning location of Bells Beach, Torquay, just an hour out of Melbourne.

Through meditative yoga practice, we create a conducive environment for the body and mind to be brought back into balance and natural homeostasis. Relaxed action and meditative awareness are used as tools to disrupt the habitual conditioned mind which wavers from past memories, to anticipation of the future. Here is where the afflictions of mind kleshas cause us suffering and are experienced as anxiety, depression, stress, burnout and overwhelm etc. In the practice of yoga, we use the body and mind to transcend the limitations imposed on the body and mind, and where we become peacefully restful and are able to truly experience life with pure perception.

Did you know that most people live their lives with a distorted perception of reality? That is right, our karmic filters shape our experience of life. Yoga becomes the process of removing the veil of illusion, through awareness and deep surrender, we naturally allow the illuminative light of consciousness to be accessed, known, seen and embodied.

Sacred Rest is about returning to your essence nature; the non doing part of your Being where life flows spontaneously & effortlessly.
